Real Estate Law
In addition to its extensive title insurance practice, the firm specializes in all aspects of real estate litigation, including claims arising out of acquisition, development, financing and leasing or sale of real estate, both commercial and residential. The firm represents large, medium, and smaller local home builders as well as real estate brokerages and agents throughout the Eastern half of the State of Missouri and Southern Illinois. The firm has defended real estate agents and brokers in ethics proceedings before the Missouri Real Estate Commission as well as various Boards of Realtors in both Missouri and Illinois.

Employment Law
The firm is uniquely situated in its employment law practice in that its attorneys represent both employers and employees in claims and lawsuits based upon sex, race, national origin, religion, age, and disability discrimination before both federal and state agencies and courts. This dual representation provides the firm with unique perspectives from both sides of the issue translating into a well-rounded perspective for the client. It also provides representation to employers and employees in claims of wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge, and breach of employment contracts, including employment covenants and non-compete agreements.
Civil Rights
The firm has an extensive practice in civil rights defense. It has represented law enforcement officers, police and Sheriff’s Departments and municipalities, counties, fire and ambulance districts and other governmental agencies in state and federal courts throughout the State of Missouri. These cases include wrongful death and serious personal injury claims as well as claims involving Constitutional rights such as freedom of speech, equal protection, due process, and discrimination claims based upon race, sex, national origin, age, and disability.
